I really want to see him back in the team for the next 10 or so games, to see if he can recapture last seasons form.
He dipped and if he doesn't get back in the team soon to try to refind his form his confidence may end up shot and we may end up in a Schemmel situation.
Hopefully he plays tonight, stays in the team and plays like last season.
Also, with the defensive leader out of the season, I don't think we can afford an inexperienced player at RB. Get in all the experience we can to tighten up at the back.

There's no question he offers more going forward.

I also think he's better defensively but doesn't have the pace Johnson has to cover.

Nice problems to have - and we have plenty of games so everyone will get their chance!

The thing is with Coufal is that he offers a lot more than his defensive and attacking play.
One of the reasons why we became so much more competetive last season was because of Coufal's inectious personality.
His hard work, determination and strength of character rubbed off on those playing around him and we became a much more galvanised outfit because of it.

Ben Johnson is a very good player and with experience he may well develop some of the above. But he's not there yet,
and so right now I think we need to get Vlad back into the team because he has such a positive effect on his teammates

Much better from Vlad tonight. :newthumb: That was his best performance for me since last season. So very nearly assisted Perkins for his first ever goal too.

Moyes still has a nice selection headache for rightback.

Best game of the season, he really wasn’t good before his injury, good to see him back to his high standard.

The kid still keeps the shirt for me until he has an off game / gets injured

He is like yer Polish builder.

Can do brilliantly everything asked of him without any fuss, but sometimes his finishing lets him down..

I bet he gets paid in his hand.

With Johnson and Coufal, I imagine from now on Moyes will select based on the opposition, Johnson is better defensively so I expect him to start against Man City, but Coufal is a proper threat going forward, so will probably start against Brighton.

A nice selection headache though, for sure.

Not sure Pep us gonna let us know before hand!

Grealish wasn't even fit for bench weds and man city only had 8 out of 12 potential subs.
If he is on the bench we should have Coufal following him during his warm ups.

Too risky Coufal will trip over him on the ground

His ball up the line, almost the length of the pitch and behind their left back was one of the most exquisite passes I’ve seen from a full back and if made by a Liverpool full back would have been all over social media. Deserved a goal. Was one of the best players on the pitch last night imo.

He was man of the match last night for me (Clive).

Diligent defending, always available, good balls into the box.

No, the graphic was misleading, that was just his number being shown.

According to this he's only ever been booked 4 times in the Premier League total, which is quite remarkable: https://www.premierleague.com/players/7 ... o=1&se=418
