Thanks, was confused. That’s quite important given losing Johnson and zouma today.StevePottsGoalsReel wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 3:31 pm No, the graphic was misleading, that was just his number being shown.
According to this he's only ever been booked 4 times in the Premier League total, which is quite remarkable: https://www.premierleague.com/players/7 ... o=1&se=418

Re: Vladimír Coufal signs
Looks like he needed a well earned rest to make sure he was not turning into the second coming of Sebastien Schemmel!
Glad to see the real Vlad back in action.

Did anyone else think he was finally going to score his first goal for us, in the first half? So, so close!

Re: Vladimír Coufal signs
I believe the difference is experience. Johnson often suffers from a bit of hesitancy whereas Coufal is always positive in what he does, even if it is the wrong choice. If you watch Coufal he us never more than a couple of yards from his oponent and usually glancing at them repeatedly whereas Johnson (like yesterday) can play a tad too narrow and leave himself too exposed to threat. He will kearn a lot from Vlad.

I noticed that too yesterday Vlad is continuously looking over his shoulder to see where the danger is.Diogenes wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 9:01 am I believe the difference is experience. For my money Johnson was caught out and should have been a lot tighter to Mount when the cross field ball goes over - but like you say I think a lot of positional sense comes from experience.
Coufal was immense yesterday. Glad to have him back.

Johnson was out of position for Mount's goal because he'd pulled up with his hamstring.Sticky wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 10:14 am I noticed that too yesterday Vlad is continuously looking over his shoulder to see where the danger is.

It was just really unfortunate.

Re: Vladimír Coufal signs
Ah ****. My bad in that case.
Fwiw I think Johnson will go on to be an incredible player.
Kids got mad Faith as well... In fact I've noticed quite a lot of our squad seem to have a relationship with something outside of themselves (closed eyes and palms outstretched asking for blessing, the sign of the cross, raising their hands and eyes in supplication once they score.. ) - nice to see this New West Ham United worshipping more than money.

Re: Vladimír Coufal signs
It went when Johnson supported the previous attack, you could see him struggling at the other end of the pitch. Thinking about it now, Johnson might have been better off to go down when he felt it go. Rice might have seen that and put the ball out rather than attempt to keep the attack going. BUT....we won 3-2 so no complaints from meBubbles Fortuna wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 10:19 am Johnson was out of position for Mount's goal because he'd pulled up with his hamstring.

It looks like losing his place to Johnson has given him extra motivation to improve his game to another level.
It looks like he's dropped a few pounds too!
Competition is good.

Yup, his ethos of you have the shirt until your performance drops is spot on

Re: Vladimír Coufal signs
One issue we've had this season is the lack of attacking threat from RB compared to last season.
This bloke needs to start stepping up, beginning tomorrow, or Moyes may have a decision in the summer
