After a delay, kicks off tonight with a double header (6pm first game) , some major change in management since last year and Leigh once again have a go at the top table (replacing Toronto.)
Games like football behind closed doors, but are all being played at the same stadium each week, two a day Friday, Sat and Sun(Leeds this week, St Helens next)
Also a set of rules changes that are not universally welcomed come in to force.

The no-scrum law is a bit of an odd one, given the close contact in all other parts of the game.
NRL already into round 3 in Australia, pretty much back to pre-Covid situation there.

Anyone else tuning in this evening? Its my one game of the season Schedule time for but it rarely fails to deliver.
Strange to consider Catalan Dragons favourites (in some bookies - seems a 50/50 split for Saints) but regardless of how they do tonight their story of travelling from regional backwater....to the big league....to moments from relegation in 2017....to a Challenge Cup win....and now The Big One is enough to feed the romantic soul of any sports fan.
No idea on the French or Catalan players but league tables don't lie and they came in top. On the other hand Saint Helens are a ruthless, trophy winning machine with experience of playing in the big show....should be a good one

Re: Super League 2021 (Rugby League)
Great night out. Saints win a very tough game felt like the ref gave the French a lot from my (Saints) vantage point will have to watch back. Disappointed by the crowd though, it’s always been a sell out, was less then half full tonight (I get there would have been less French)
Three in a row for Saints, massive achievement.
Sore throat and well oiled (visited the seven brothers brewery before hand - nice stuff)

The fumble & knock-on by the Catalan lad with about 3 mins to go....that cost the game I reckon, he'll be having nightmares about it for a while yet.
A tough, attritional and quite intense final, never more than a kick apart score wise, so hats off to Saints...when they needed too they found the grit to get over the line and win.
