Why would they thrash us?

We haven't lost a game by 2 goals in almost two years (since Liverpool Jan 2020). During that time we've played far better sides like Chelsea, Liverpool, Man C and Man U (pre this season) on multi occasions and not been thrashed.
It was this year, mate. We lost 3-1 at home to Liverpool in January this year.

Still, Declan leading the boys out at the Camp Nou would be some moment.
A 'we have finally arrived' moment, for sure.

I stand corrected but 11 months is still rather impressive, whilst I wouldn’t count 3-1 as a thrashing in any case.

Barcelona are primed to be counter attacked by West Ham.

Words I thought I’d never write, but no less true. If you watch them, they are a shadow of themselves. They keep the ball alright between a few players in the middle of the pitch, but are clumsy in attack and disheveled in defence. Rice would be the best player on the pitch.

The “Mo(o)re than a Club” derby.

I would agree on the comments calling Napoli the most dangerous team. However, they have just lost Osimhen for three months and depending on what happens today in Moscow, they could be at serious risk of not qualifying altogether, or more likely, finishing 2nd and going to the Playoff Round.

At which point Napoli vs Barcelona could occur before we even have to play again in Europe.

I know that is still a hypothetical, but still, wow. Another indication of the achievement this season, so far.

Another thing with Napoli, they are flying in Serie A (3 way fight with the Milan teams). If that stays the same and they are still in Europe come March, I can see them not taking the Europa as serious as they might otherwise.

It's all to play for in Napoli's group after their defeat to Spartak Moscow tonight.

Any of the 4 teams could win the group and any team could finish bottom.

With Moscow playing Legia and Leicester playing Napoli as the final game it looks like one of Leicester or Napoli will drop out of the tournament without a specific set of results.

Napoli going opens a door for others, I hope Leicester go through at the expense of them.

Assuming Legia lose both games it'll come down to the Napoli Leicester game on who goes through alongside Spartak.

Speaking of Spartak their striker Sobolev has scored twice against both Leicester and Napoli, worth looking at?

I’d rather have a second leg at the King Power than Napoli tbh.

Napoli make Rapid look like the clowns they are, though, in terms of the 'welcome' our fans would get, if we got drawn to play there. iirc, more than one of the usual clubs have learned that the hard way in the last 10 or so years.

I'd love to see Antonio and Rice lining up at the San Paolo it's why we wanted Europe.

Plus we have had leicesters number recently. Law of averages and all that.

All fair points :newthumb:

I’m just thinking on how and who we’ll beat on the way to the final :scarfer:
