I still reckon it’s the obligation clause that will drive how much he’ll play. If we don’t want to yet commit to 15 games and be obligated to buy him as a result yet we also want him as insurance in case Rice or Soucek are injured or suspended for the run in at the end of the season then we may continue to see his game time limited.

Still only 23. I have no idea if he will make it in the premiership but, with our coaches, he will end the season a much better player than when he joined us on loan. I will judge him the new year rather than before.

Played CB for most of the 18/19 season for FK Teplice but has only played (started) in that position once since by the look of his stats. That was for Sparta and they lost that game 4-1.

Nothing to suggest he'd be any better than Dawson or Diop to be honest.

With new investment and the huge blow of losing Ogbonna (potentially career ending), I can quite easily see us agreeing a deal for Tarkowski in Jan.

Circa £25m to bring in him and Lingard is decent business when you consider what we paid for Vlasic.
Thanks Sutts.

I wasn't thinking of him replacing any of the CBs just more of a back up if needed.

Only seen him play one game for us. He was pretty poor to be fair.

He contributed in the early stages of the goal that we scored and prevented one of the best squads in the country from scoring.

He didn't set the world alight, maybe, but poor is a bit of an exaggeration, surely?

I thought he actually played pretty well against Man Utd.

Considering it was his first competitive game in a new country, away from home against Man Utd and having to play alongside an ageing Noble I thought he put in a very solid performance.

I think he will struggle with touch and passing when under pressure but wish him well and certainly won't judge this early.

Looks high energy and tenacious when I've seen him but I think it will be important for him to play it simple for a while.

Hope he plays CM with noble on Thurs. Let him do the graft and and let Noble try to control the game. Make sure he has options. Lanzini in there too will help as finds space and can take it under pressure.

Looked good tonight, the manager and his staff clearly having an impact, looking forward to seeing more of him, could be a great solution to our midfield

There’s your answer. Really played his part tonight. Moyes has handled well again. More to come.

Good to hear Ozza. I haven't seen as much of him as others. Who is he most like as a player would you say? Happy for the lad, must be tough when your mates instantly settle so well in terms of expectation.

See, never write a player off under Moyes! He was just as good tonight as I thought he was at Old Trafford. If anything, I thought he looked fitter. He looks like he’s gained an extra yard of pace. The coaching staff have clearly been working him hard.

Did ok when he came on. Not sure we have an answer yet though.
Hope he comes good.

He’s our fourth choice CM, so will only be called upon if we get injuries to two of Rice, Soucek or Noble

Looks ok, albeit a bit bambi-esque on the ball

He's *very* conservative with his passing at the moment. He's currently the mythical sideways-passer that Declan Rice was claimed to be until recently (by idiots).

Difficult to know if that's instructions, nerves, or whatever, but if he's to be made permanent then I think Moyes will want to see him make more contribution going forward, just as Rice and Soucek do in very different ways.

I suspect he'll get more game time than Noble does as the season wears on though - he'll be deployed as a destroyer and may even come into the side at the expense of the third player behind Antonio to allow Rice/Soucek to get forward more. A useful option for an away European leg against elite opposition for example.

There's lots of potential and he's certainly a logical addition to the squad for now.

Seems to like to carry the ball upfield which is a good quality. He has all the raw ingredients, he's young, and I think with the right coaching and more experience in the Premier League, he'll be a top player. I predict that he'll get better with each appearance and by the end of the season we'll be wanting to sign him permanently.

Definitely looked a yard quicker. Good to see!
