Collison, 28, was released as a player by the club in the summer of 2014 following a string of injuries from which he failed to recover - leading to his retirement from the professional game in February 2016.

Since then, the Watford-born former midfielder has set up his own soccer school whilst working towards obtaining his UEFA coaching badges - whlst alos enjoying brief spells as manager of Peterborough's Under18s and Under 21s.

And it was revealed this afternoon that he is on his way back to West Ham, on a permanent basis, as Under 16s coach.

Few last bits to sort out
