On 5 June 2013, it was announced that Adrián would join West Ham United on 1 July, on a three-year contract. The Premier League club had the option to extend this deal for a further two seasons.

Adrián made his debut for the Hammers on 27 August 2013, in a 2–1 home win against Cheltenham Town for the season's League Cup. His first league appearance came on 21 December, a 1–3 loss at Manchester United.

On 11 January 2014 Adrián kept his first Premier League clean sheet, in the 2–0 away win over Cardiff City.

On 6 May 2014, Adrián attended West Ham's 2013/14 players awards and won 'Save of the Season' for a fingertip save from Oscar against Chelsea in January. He also won 'Best Individual Performance' for the same game against Chelsea, in which he kept a clean sheet in a goalless draw and 'Signing of the Season'.

Adrián was named runner up in the 2014 'Hammer of the Year' to Mark Noble.

2014/15 Match Notes & Ratings

8-7 v Arsenal (a) 14th March 2015
by Staff Writer

It would not be right to say that we'd have lost were it not for... I'm sure Jussi would have done equally as well. But the man between the sticks has to stay alert through dullish periods, and do his job when the time comes. Adrian did. And he saved the penalty and so nearly got to the rebound. Dammit!

0-1 v Chelsea (h) 4th March 2015

1-3 v Crystal Palace (h) 28th February 2015
by Raedwulf

Blameless. Made a couple of sharp, if ultimately routine, stops; couldn't do anything much about any of the goals.

2-2 v Tottenham Hotspur (a) 22nd February 2015

0-4 v West Bromwich Albion (a) 14th February 2015

A couple of scary moments as per dealing with aerial deliveries, but he redeemed himself with a stunning reflex save at his near post then another at the death.

0-0 v Southampton (a) 11th February 2015
by Staff Writer

1-1 v Manchester United (h) 8th February 2015
by Staff Writer

Made a couple of decent saves, went long periods without anything to do.

0-2 v Liverpool (a) 31st January 2015
by Staff Writer

Rarely called upon, this was one of the easier days Adrian will enjoy - although his command of his area remains a slight concern.

1-0 v Bristol City (a) 25th January 2015

3-0 v Hull City (h) 18th January 2015
by Raedwulf

Had to be alert in the first half, especially in the first quarter of the game. In truth, though, didn't have a heck of a lot to do.

3-0 v Hull City (h) 18th January 2015
by Gordon Thrower

One duff kick in the first hale. One good save in the second. Largely unemployed otherwise.

3-0 v Hull City (h) 18th January 2015
by Staff Writer

Barely had a save to make. Which was fine, after his heroics of Tuesday night.

2-2 v Everton (h) 13th January 2015
by Raedwulf

Yes, only 6 for the hero of the night. Penalties are a lottery. Tonight, the lottery allowed him to redeem himself for their equaliser. He didn't have a lot else to do.

2-2 v Everton (h) 13th January 2015
by Staff Writer

The hero of the night, so we'll ignore his questionable positioning for Mirallas' equaliser.

1-1 v Swansea (a) 10th January 2015
by Callum Brown

Not a great deal to do today bar one fingertip save in the first half from Sigurdsson. Little he could do about the goal.

1-1 v Swansea (a) 10th January 2015
by Lee WIlkinson

Nothing to do, mostly shots at the Spanish stopper and picked the ball from his net once.

1-1 v Everton (a) 6th January 2015
by Raedwulf

A quieter game than of late. Had a couple of awkward saves to make, neither of which he could hold, and a couple more comfortable.

1-1 v Everton (a) 6th January 2015
by Staff Writer

Not a great deal to do; made one good save from Barkley but there were a couple of fumbles too.

1-1 v West Bromwich Albion (h) 1st January 2015
by Staff Writer

The pick of a poor bunch, again. Two great saves, little he could do about the goal.

1-2 v Arsenal (h) 28th December 2014
by Raedwulf

Beaten to MotM only by Amalfitano. Showed all his good qualities & none of the bad.

0-2 v Chelsea (a) 26th December 2014
by Raedwulf

Notwithstanding a moment of temperament today, our best player.

2-0 v Leicester City (h) 20th December 2014
by Staff Writer

Went a little too early for the penalty but redeemed himself with a stunning save five minutes from time.

1-1 v Sunderland (a) 13th December 2014
by Raedwulf

Kicking was poor in the first 20, and didn't do at all well with the penalty. However, he was generally safe for the rest of the game & pulled off a couple of very good saves to keep the scores level.

Went a little too early for the penalty but redeemed himself with a stunning save five minutes from time.

3-1 v Swansea (h) 7th December 2014
by Raedwulf

No chance with the goal, little else to do, apart from a couple of comfortable saves.

3-1 v Swansea (h) 7th December 2014
by Gordon Thrower

No chance with the goal but his main challenge was keeping warm.

2-1 v West Bromwich Albion (a) 2nd December 2014
by Raedwulf

A reluctant 7, since he showed his nasty, petulant aside again. Those two very good reaction saves kept us in front, though, and his kicking off the floor was much better than against Everton.

A couple of scary moments as per dealing with aerial deliveries, but he redeemed himself with a stunning reflex save at his near post then another at the death.

1-0 v Newcastle United (h) 29th November 2014
by Raedwulf

Won't sleep well tonight, having had a nap for 90 minutes. On the other hand, he's Spanish, so perhaps he's used to a mid-afternoon siesta!

1-0 v Newcastle United (h) 29th November 2014
by Gordon Thrower

I vaguely remember one very comfortable save but he was mainly as much of a spectator as I was.

1-2 v Everton (a) 22nd November 2014
by Raedwulf

No chance with either goal, one good save in the first minute, comfortable with everything else except clearing backpasses.

0-0 v Aston Villa (h) 8th November 2014
by Raedwulf

Unlike Stoke, had little to do.

0-0 v Aston Villa (h) 8th November 2014
by Gordon Thrower

One dodgy moment in the first half. One meaningful save and I swear he didn't touch the ball in the last 20 minutes.

2-1 v Manchester City (h) 25th October 2014
by Raedwulf

A couple of instinctive reaction saves, and a spectacular though comfortable one from longer range. Kept us in it in the first half last week, kept us ahead this week!

2-1 v Manchester City (h) 25th October 2014
by Gordon Thrower

Needed to be at his best. And was. Made at least three top notch saves at vital moments in the game.

3-1 v Burnley (a) 18th October 2014
by Raedwulf

Unlike a few others, a seven in the first half, but a five in the second for dropping a b*llock.

3-1 v Burnley (a) 18th October 2014
by Gordon Thrower

Apart from the first 15 minutes or so it wasn't his busiest afternoon, though, although fouled, he might have done better for their goal.

2-0 v Queens Park Rangers (h) 5th October 2014
by Raedwulf

Had little enough to do, but made a good save from Austin halfway through the first half and held it. Did equally well to palm a free kick around the post at the same point in the second. First clean sheet of the season!

2-0 v Queens Park Rangers (h) 5th October 2014
by Gordon Thrower

He'll have busier days but when required he was not found wanting.

3-1 v Liverpool (h) 20th September 2014
by Gordon Thrower

Only had a couple of saves to make. A bit concerned at his reaction to Balotelli's niggly foul which left him only a scouse dive away from a dismissal.

1-3 v Southampton (h) 30th August 2014
by Raedwulf

Couldn't do anything about the goals. Made a couple of decent saves.

1-3 v Southampton (h) 30th August 2014
by Gordon Thrower

Let down by those in front of him. A couple of half-decent saves.

3-1 v Crystal Palace (a) 23rd August 2014
by Gordon Thrower

Largely untroubled but solid when called upon.

3-1 v Crystal Palace (a) 23rd August 2014

Couldn't do anything about Chamakh's good finish, relatively untroubled apart from that. I shall be happy to award him 6 all season long on that basis!

1-3 v Stoke City (a) 15th March 2014
by Staff Writer

2-0 v Norwich City (h) 11th February 2014
by Raedwulf

Three excellent saves, but on two of them, Hooper made it easier than he should have. Which is why Tomkins beats him to MotM. Also thought he might have held Norwich's first chance on 9 minutes.

2-0 v Aston Villa (a) 8th February 2014
by Raedwulf

Quick off his line again on the one occasion he needed to be, he had little enough to do, despite Villa's pressure in the last 20 minutes or so.

2-0 v Swansea City (h) 1st February 2014
by Gordon Thrower

Little to do in the way of shot-stopping but he commanded the box well. Confidence in your 'keeper is handy for a back four.

2-0 v Swansea City (h) 1st February 2014
by Raedwulf

Quick off his line when needed; otherwise had little to worry about or do.
