Hammers boss Alan Pardew marked his first year in charge in disappointing fashion, as he watched his side go down 1-0 to the in-form Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road this afternoon.

Rangers confirmed their seventh successive league victory with a 21st minute strike from Matthew Rose, who took advantage of a slip from right-back for the day Hayden Mullins to notch a well taken goal.

The Hammers - missing the likes of Teddy Sheringham, Matthew Etherington, Malky Mackay and Calum Davenport - were often outclassed by a team that were playing two divisions below the Hammers less than 18 months ago.

The defeat leaves the Hammers six points adrift of leaders Wigan, but still in the play-off positions.
