West Ham are set to hit the courts again later this year following a dispute with Incite, providers of the hammers(((on))) text message service.

West Ham ended their relationship with the troubled firm last month, although Incite have continued to offer the service - whereby supporters can get news and views on the club via text message - on an 'unofficial' basis.

And further to the termination of the agreement the Hammers have taken Incite to court in order to recover missing payments which they claim were promised by the firm, whilst claiming damages.

The hammers(((on))) service was dogged by problems from the start; some fans offered a 30-day free-trial still found the service working up to 60 days later - free of charge - which others complained about the delays in posting news (half-time scorelines would generally appear midway through the second half of a game, for example).

West Ham are no strangers to the courts; last year the club were forced to withdraw goods featuring Herbie Hammer after they were sued by Timmy Mallett for copyright infringement.

And later this year the club look set to return to the courts in order to sue supporters involved with the WHISTLE group, who claimed that the clubs financial problems were worse than the club had admitted.
