West Ham have confirmed the signing of Republic of Ireland international Clive Clarke.
The 25-year-old full-back has moved from Stoke to East London in a deal worth £275,000, the club have confirmed tonight.
Alan Pardew revealed after yesterday's 1-0 win at Crystal Palace that he was hopeful of confirming the capture of Clarke at some point during the weekend.
Clarke becomes Pardew's second signing this weekend, following the return of goalkeeper Shaka Hislop.
* West Ham's official website was forced into a hasty about-turn tonight after their initial story confirmed the deal as being worth £2.75m. Disappointingly for Stoke, the extra nought was swiftly removed and the correct fee put in its place.
