A great performance ...

Jose Mourinho shares his thoughts after his Chelsea side convincingly beat West Ham 4-1 at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

"It was a great performance under very difficult circumstances - losing 1-0, playing with 10 men. But every single player was amazing - and the team performance was incredible.

It's not often you win 4-1 when losing 1-0 and playing with 10 men. Although we played with 10, it looked like we were playing with 12; the performance, in my opinion, was fantastic.

Losing Maniche was not a problem because we have a lot of experience playing with 10 men. Robben, Del Horno; I don't want to comment too much because I haven't seen it on TV but from my position it looked like it could have been solved with a yellow card.

But with more than an hour to go it was, in my opinion, too easy to show a red card. You are losing 1-0, you are in a difficult situation, let's see what you can do now. Boom - you have to play with 10 men.

The response was magnificent, and I prefer to talk about the performance, the players and the result than the referee.

Drogba? I don't think he needs my words, because he has my words when he needs some support and is under fire. Watch the TV, buy the papers - and read what people have to say now.

The league? Well I prefer to have a one point lead than none, and we have seven. But then I prefer to have 15 than 7! With this kind of performance I don't think we should be afraid for our future. It was a great performance and a great answer to our critics."
