On-loan midfielder Mark Noble has admitted that he would be happy to extend his spell at Ipswich Town.

19-year-old Noble's current loan spell with the Blues ends in mid-November, and league rules prevent him from going out on loan again until the transfer window re-opens on January 1st.

But the East End boy, upon whom many future hopes are pinned, says he would be delighted to return to Suffolk having spent the last three months with the Championship club.

"I'm not sure what will happen after I go back to West Ham," he told Ipswich's website.

"So much has happened lately and everyone seems to be looking over their shoulders waiting to see whether someone comes in and takes over the club.

"I've spoken to Alan Pardew and he said he has been keeping an eye on how I have been doing, and has been receiving some decent reports.

"But I've enjoyed playing at Ipswich and if West Ham do decide to loan me out again in January then this would be the first place I'd like to come to."

Noble has made nine appearances for Ipswich this season, scoring once.
