West Ham are rumoured to be ready to pay up to £5m for Fulham captain Luis Boa Morte.
29-year-old Boa Morte has spent the last six years of his career with Fulham after joining in a £1.7m switch from Southampton.And according to speculation tonight he is set to move across the City to become one of Alan Curbishley's first signings as West Ham boss.
The Portuguese international began his career with Sporting Lisbon before moving to Arsenal in the summer of 1997. However his career with the Gunners failed to take off and he was allowed to join Southampton in August 1999 for £500,000.
Boa Morte - who generally plays in Matthew Etherington's position, wide on the left - has played 25 times for Portugal, scoring two goals in the process. He was part fo the squad which made the semi-finals of last summer's World Cup Finals.
