United have announced another signing with the imminent arrival of Sevilla striker Kepa Blanco...

The club today revealed that an agreement in principle had been reached with the La Liga club to take the 23 year-old on loan until the end of the season. Hammers will also have an option to make the deal permanent once the loan deal has expired.

Unusually, the club's announcement has been made before the final details of the deal have been sealed, a process which is due to be completed by tomorrow afternoon.

The Marbella-born forward has made only 8 starts for Sevilla this season, his opportunities being limited by a wealth of attacking options which includes, amongst others, one Freddie Kanoute. However, the eight starts have netted a total of 6 goals, including three in three starts in the UEFA cup.

Hammers are believed to have beaten a number of Premiership clubs in the race to sign Blanco, including Manchester City, Aston Villa, Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic.
