Blackburn v West Ham Utd: half-time report

The Hammers are level at the break in this evening's Premiership encounter with Blackburn Rovers.

Despite looking devoid of any confidence or creativity United remain on level terms at Ewood Park after 45 minutes.

Whilst Rovers have perhaps created the better opportunities, the Hammers have more than matched an opponent who had won four of their previous five home games ahead of today's fixture.

Carlos Tevez - who created West Ham's best chance of the first half which Marlon Harewood blasted wide - has been a thorn in the side of Blackburn, who had clearly marked him down for some heavy treatment prior to the game.

The Argentinian striker twice forced saves from Brad Friedel in what was a busy first half for the 23-year-old.

At the other end, Morten Gamst Pedersen squandered Blackburn's best chance of the half when he pulled a shot wide late on in the half when only Rob Green stood between him and the goal.

We'll have more for you at the final whistle.

West Ham United: Green, Neill, McCartney, Ferdinand, Collins, Noble, Reo-Coker, Bowyer, Etherington, Harewood, Tevez.
