Bordeaux winger Julien Faubert is in London this afternoon to finalise his move to West Ham United.
The 23-year-old is set to join the Hammers in a £6million switch from the French Ligue 1 outfit and is currently undergoing a medical having agreed personal terms.
Bordeaux chairman Jean-Louis Triaud confirmed earlier reports suggesting that the twice-capped French international would be moving to London when he told reporters:
"We've reached an agreement with West Ham. Faubert is in London which means his move is going well."
Faubert - who began his career with Cannes before moving to Bordeaux in 2004 - made his debut for the French national team in August 2006 against Bosnia and Herzegovina. He marked his first international appearance with a final minute goal to secure a 2-1 win.
The pacy winger had made 96 appearances for his current club, scoring nine times in the process.

''Apparently according to the official site we have now signed him on a 5 year contract. Great news and I guess he was a lot cheaper than SWP and looks to be a better player, here's hoping he settles in well and proves to Tevez we have real ambitions. Looks to be a steal at the price !''
