Carlos Tevez had shrugged off the latest transfer speculation linking him with an imminent move to Manchester United.
The Daily Mail and The Times led today's back page with a story claiming that the 23-year-old United striker was on his way to Old Trafford, after a 'friend' of Tevez's claimed that he has told them that he would be playing for the Reds next season. But speaking this morning at Argentina's Copa America HQ, United's current Player of the Year laughed off the story.
"As far as I am aware I have not received any official offers," he told Argentinian newspaper Clarin.
"Once an offer arrives then we will see. But the fact that Real Madrid, Intern and Manchester United are interested in me makes me proud.
"If I have to stay at West Ham, it would be fine. I am happy there and people love me very much. But right now my focus is here.
"Once this is over, we shall see."
