Centre-half Calum Davenport has joined Championship outfit Watford on laon.
The 25-year-old centre-half hadn't played a single game for the Hammers this season and has moved to Vicarage Road on an initial month's loan with an option to make the move permanent thereafter. The defender started his career with Coventry before landing a move to Tottenham three years ago, having previously impressed at Upton Park during a loan spell.
Alan Curbishley paid Spurs £3m for his services a year ago this month but Davenport played just six games before sustaining a hernia which kept him out for the remainder of last season.
Alan Curbishley, confirming the news on whufc.com this afternoon said:
"Calum hasn't played any competitive football for the club since March. He needed to go and get some first-team football so when the opportunity at Watford arose it seemed like the perfect scenario for all parties."
