Freddie Ljungberg has been taken to hospital after sustaining an injury against Newcastle at the Boleyn Ground this afternoon.
The 30-year-old midfielder was carried off just 21 minutes into the first half of today's 2-2 draw and rushed to hospital for x-rays.Initial fears were that the Swedish international may have suffered broken ribs; we will bring you confirmation of the extent of the injury once it is known.
