West Ham are being linked by a number of sources to Wolves' Michael Kightly.

One report from the BBC suggests that United have made a bid worth around £3.5m for the 22-year-old Basildon-born midfielder who began his career with Southend United.

Kightly spent two years with the Blues before being picked up by Grays Athletic on a free transfer after he was released by the League One side.

He spent a short period on trial with Wolves during November 2006 before being signed on a permanent contract for a fee in the region of £100,000 at the start of the 2007 January transfer window.
