Ferreira on his way?

West Ham are being linked with a deadline day move for Chelsea right-back Paulo Ferreira.
The 29-year-old full-back - who can also play at centre-half and left-back - joined Chelsea in a £13.2million deal four years ago. He played 29 games for the Blues in his first season which was curtailed by injury.
However he has increasingly found himself on the sidelines at Stamford Bridge since the summer arrival of Jose Bosingwa, despite having signed a new five-year deal earlier this year.
The Hammers are thought to be interested in taking the Portuguese international - who played all four game for his country (at left back) during Euro 2008 - on loan for the remainder of the season.
We'll have more for you on this as it happens.

''I think we have got it wrong, it's Lucas Neill we should get shot of not George. Or get two full backs with a bit of pace, that's what our problem is. If you switch Lucas left or right he just creates problems for the rest of the defence.''
