Forget Europe - West Ham could be playing in Asia next year after receiving an invite to a prestige pre-season summer tournament.

The Hammers along with Hull and Chelsea - have been invited to take part in next summer's Asia Cup, a new tournament that will be hosted in either Hong Kong, South Korea or China, according to the BBC.

Paul Duffen, the man behind the revival of Hull explained the rules of the selection process to BBC Humberside:

"We qualify because of our league position. We were sixth and were top of the block of teams positioned sixth to 10th at the time. It's fantastic."

West Ham United are yet to confirm the invite.
