The latest rumours and gossip regarding possible comings and goings ahead of the January transfer window ...

* Celtic boss Gordon Strachan is weighing up a bid for United striker Craig (Douglas) Bellamy, according to various reports. The pair have previously worked together at Coventry, whilst Bellamy spent five months on loan at Parkhead back in 2005.

* West Ham are said to have made an enquiry into the availibility of Newcastle and ex-England striker Michael Owen. The former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker is out of contract with the North East club next summer and could be available on loan in January.

* The Hammers are being linked with a move for Chelsea centre half Michael Mancienne, who is currently on loan with Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers. The England under 21 international has been earning rave reviews all season and is well known to assistant manager Steve Clarke from their days together at Stamford Bridge.

* Robert Green continues to be linked with a move to Tottenham - as has just about anyone since Harry Redknapp took over at White Hart Lane last month. The Hammers keeper was at the centre of a row last summer when he claimed West Ham had refused to offer him a new contract.

* Another former Chelsea player said to be interesting the Hammers is Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford. The 24-year-old forward was released by the Blues in 2003 but has scored 16 goals this season already in League One, including a hat-trick at Northampton last weekend.

* Stephen Appiah continues to be linked with a move to East London although the Hammers are likely to face stiff opposition from a number of clubs for his services. The out-of-contract Ghanaian international is on duty for his country tonight as they take on Tunisia in Accra.
