Bolton v West Ham Utd: half time report

West Ham find themselves in deep trouble at the break in this afternoon's Premier League clash at the Reebok Stadium.

United have gone almost four months unbeaten away from home but that record is under serious threat thanks to two early Bolton goals inside two minutes.

Matt Taylor - who scored in the reverse fixture earlier this season - got Wanderers off to a great start just eleven minutes in when he converted a 20-yard free kick given away by Jack Collison. Rob Green may, on reflection, feel that he could have done better with the effort.

With the Hammers still reeling from that blow Bolton made it 2-0 just 70 seconds later when an Elmander cross was converted by Kevin Davies, stealing in between Matthew Upson and John Spector (deputising at right back for the suspended Lucas Neill).

Both Taylor and Gardner registered efforts for the home side before David Di Michele produced West Ham United's first shot on the half hour mark; a weak effort dragged wide after good work by the Italian to find himself space.

The effort signal the beginning a spirited end to the half by the Hammers, who could have feasibly levelled the scores had Mark Noble and Di Michele not wasted glorious chances to pull a goal back; Noble firstly by opting to pass when a shot would have been the better option and Di Michele firing horribly wide when one on one with Jaaskeleinan.

We'll have more for you at the final whistle.
