Frank debuts

Frank Lampard made his full international debut yesterday in England's narrow 2-1 defeat of Belgium at Sunderland's Stadium of Light.

Despite getting a roasting from boss Kevin Keegan at half-time Frank gave a mature and cultured performance in the heart of England's midfield.

Goals from Alan Shearer and Frank's cousin Jamie Redknapp won the day for England.

Frank follows in his father's footsteps as a full international; Frank Senior won two caps for England - one in 1973, the other in 1980. Hopefully Frank Junior won't have to wait so long to collect his next cap.
