It was a great night at the Boleyn as the footballing world came out to celebrate the career of Tony Carr.

Carr - whose All-Star side were beaten 5-1 on the night by the West Ham Utd first XI, managed by former assistant manager Frank Lampard Snr - saw a bumper crowd of almost 14,000 turn out to join in the celebrations, ensuring the kick off was delayed by 15 minutes to allow the latecomers to get into the ground.

Here's a few pictures from a great night...

''These are the things (pics including, Sir Paolo, Rio, Frank, Cottee. Parris, Keen, Martin, Slater, Willamson, Ferdinand's, Green, Parker, ETC) ( NOT Mentioning, Johnson, Carrick, Cole, De... De... Deffff.... can't remember... and the Legends, that make us the club we are, great players (albeit ex) but this is what makes us WEST HAM. BLUE SQUARE PREMIER or PREMIERSHIP. We will always support them as long as there is a WEST HAM.

We have done so well (sorry, Tony Carr) but we should be proud and bleed Claret and Blue as we always will.

I am an emotional Tart after seeing that and can't help thinking 1966 again ... if we kept a few... TYPICAL WEST HAM.''
