West Ham Utd v Everton: half time report

West Ham had an early lead cancelled out on the stroke of half time in this evening's Premier League encounter.

An own goal saw the Hammers take the lead midway through the first half before Seamus Coleman took advantage of some slack defending to put Everton back on level terms.

Radoslav Kovac's half-scissor kick was diverted into the back of the net by Tony Hibbert to put United ahead in the midst of a good spell for the Hammers.

Herita Ilunga - restored to the team in place of Tal Ben Haim - was forced off through injury on the half hour mark to be replaced by Jonathan Spector.

And it was from the left side that the Everton goal arrived, with Coleman stealing in at the back post to prod home an undeserved equaliser.

Although a number of supporters held Spector at fault for failing to pick up the Blues youngster, it should be pointed out that the American was tucking inside as the result of a request from head coach Wally Downes moments earlier.

We'll have more for you at the final whistle.
