Fernandes hits back

Tony Fernandes has hit back at David Sullivan and Gold after they dismissed his bid for the club.

The Malaysian businessman made an offer for a controlling share of the club - 51 per cent - yesterday, but his bid was rejected by West Ham's joint owners.

But that has clearly infuriated the 47-year-old Lotus F1 owner, who hit back at the pair - once again via Twitter - this morning.

Having been accused of deliberately timing his bid to coincide with the announcement of Sam Allardyce's arrival, Fernandes hit back saying: "As for PR stunts. Wow. They are always in the press making huge claims.

"Were we not supposed to be in Europe? Now we have been relegated. Two sacked managers. All good players will be sold."

He also accused Sullivan and Gold of neglecting the club's core areas, adding: "No new trainning ground which is the most important ingredient I feel. Look at how many injuries we have. And more investment into the academy."

Before finally ending his tirade with: "Make up your mind Sullivan and Gold. One minute you say no offer then you say its a joke offer. It was a good offer with good money and brought in good people."

As a result of his numerous outbursts Fernandes' stock with supporters appears to have hit an all-time low, with many writing back to him to accuse him of undermining the club's attempts to return to the Pemier League.
