Nolan: good luck, Scotty

Kevin Nolan has wished Scott Parker well should he leave the club - but says he'd be happy for him to stay.
Parker's future continues to be the subject of discussion between West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur who are hoping to clinch a deal for the 30-year-old, despite failing to agree to United's financial demands thus far. As a result he was left out of the squad that travelled to Nottingham yesterday.
However Nolan - who scored one and missed an even easier chance to notch a second in today's 4-1 win - insists that he'd be delighted to continue to play alongside the current Football Writers' Player of the Year.
Talking to Sky Sports following West Ham's win, Nolan said: "Obviously Scotty's a top player. If he goes to Tottenham it's because of his international ambitions, we know that.
"He loves playing here [at West Ham], he loves the club. But if he does get that move we wish him well; if not we'll be glad to have him back.
"[We've not said our goodbyes] because he hasn't gone - or not that I'm aware of. I'm sure we will hear if he does, but if not and it comes to Wednesday and he's still our player, we'll be delighted to have him."
And on his 41st minute miss that saw him fire wide from just three yards out with the goal at his mercy - a gaff that Nolan himself called 'dreadful' - he added:
"The big man's done fantastic and Julien has given me a great cross. I just got sloppy to be honest, I thought I'd already put it in the back of the net!"

''Parker can blame it on the idiots he wants to go play for. Tottenham sit bottom of the league with a -7 goal difference. Yet these cheap baskets refuse to pay what Parker is worth. Go then, north London clowns. Keep penny-pinching like your north London Arsenal friends and see how far it gets you. Champions League? You really are having a laugh. Except the joke is on you and it isn't very funny. Live like a penny-pincher, die like one north London.''
