Manchester City have rejected an audacious bid from West Ham to bring Carlos Tevez back to the BG.
The Citizens confirmed this evening that they had been contacted by representatives of the Hammers who enquired about taking the Argentinian international on loan until January.
The 27-year-old, who spent a season at West Ham five years ago before going on to play for both Manchester clubs fell out with City manager Roberto Mancini in spectacular style last week after refusing to come on as a substitute in a 'Champions' League fixture.
When questioned tonight about the veracity of West Ham's bid for Tevez by one of his followers on Twitter, United Chiarman David Gold replied: "We don't do publicity stunts".
