Moncur on his way

West Ham's George Moncur is set to join AFC Wimbledon on loan.

The young midfielder is set to go out on a short-term loan to the League Two club, who only last week signed former Hammers Academy graduate Callum McNaughton on permanent terms.

Moncur confirmed the news via his Twitter account this morning. "I'm going [to] AFC Wimbledon, thank you all much love," he said. "[But] only on loan, not permanent."

18-year-old Moncur signed his first professional contract with West Ham in September 2010, a contract that runs until the summer of 2013. His father, John, played for West Ham between 1994 and 2003.
