The marathon man is back

KUMB.com member Colin Wells is preparing to run the 2012 London Marathon - and is looking for your support.

Colin - whose marathon exploits we have followed here on KUMB since 2005, since when he has ran every year for various charities - will be participating in this year's event on behalf of housing charity Shelter.

"Tens of thousands of people - including many children - wake up every day in housing that is run-down, overcrowded or dangerous," Colin told KUMB.com. "Many others are homeless.

"The lack of decent, affordable housing is depriving people of security, health and a fair chance in life.

"Shelter provides advice and support for over one million people a year relating to housing issues; campaigning for new law and policies to tackle homelessness."

Colin, for whom this year's event - which is scheduled for 22nd April - will be an incredible 22nd marathon, has received generous backing in the past from fellow KUMB.com readers - and he is once again asking for your support as he looks to reach his fundraising target.
