West Ham iFC have entered a veteran supporters' XI into this year’s Worldnet Tournament in Leeds.
The iFC vets, whose ages range from 'old' to 'very old', have entered the Big Tam Veterans Bowl competition for the more senior players of the Internet Football Association community. The squad is likely to contain a number of members from the kumb.com forums.
The tournament will take place this Saturday (21 July)– and possibly Sunday - at the University of Leeds Bodington Hall complex, details of which can be found here:
The Hammervets have been drawn in Group A alongside teams of supporters representing Airdrie, Watford and Leeds United. Two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament which will take place on the Sunday after a quiet meal and an early night for all. Test.
The aging Hammers face an early start with a 9am kick-off against Airdrie. The team’s group schedule, is as follows:
9.00am West Ham United v Airdrie
1.00pm Leeds Lards v West Ham United
3.40pm West Ham United v Watford Gitwizards
Matches last 15 minutes each way and will take place on Pitch G. If you happen to be in the area why not pop along and give the lads a cheer - particularly if you happen to be medically qualified!
