French international Alou Diarra is set to rubber-stamp his move to West Ham within 24 hours.
As revealed here on KUMB.com late Wednesday evening, the Marseille defensive midfielder travelled to London yesterday in order to take a medical ahead of a permanent transfer. This morning L'Equipe - who first broke the news of Diarra's impending arrival in England - report that the 31-year-old successfully passed the first part of his medical yesterday, with a second part to follow this morning.
And with West Ham confirming via the Twitter account attributed to David Sullivan's son that a new signing is set to be announced, Diarra is poised to become the club's eighth signing of pre-season.
