West Ham Utd v Southampton: live

West Ham have the chance to consolidate their place in the top half of the Premier League by beating lowly Southampton at the Boleyn this afternoon.

Sam Allardyce's side come up against a Saints team who pipped them to automatic promotion from the Championship last season - although it's the Hammers who have enjoyed a far more comfortable start to the 2012/13 campaign.

West Ham go into today's encounter no less than seven points clear of Nigel Adkins' team, who have lost all three of their away games thus far this season.
