David Gold has confirmed that the club are still yet to receive an offer for midfielder Momo Diame, with just a few hours of the transfer window left to go.

West Ham United's co-chairman, speaking to sportsdirectnews.com this afternoon admitted that he will be happy to see the back of the current transfer window which is due to close at 11pm this evening,

"I find myself continually looking at the clock. We want this window over," said Gold. "As we speak, there has been no offer or inquiry for Mo and let's keep it that way - but we're ready to play hardball.

"We would demand every penny was paid before the window closed - it would have to be paid as an upfront sum."

Gold also scotched reports that claimed Diame was set to sign a new contract, confirming that the club's previous new contract offer had indeed been withdrawn.

"We have not signed a new deal with the player," he said. "There was always a deadline on acceptance as far as we were concerned ahead of the window closing."

West Ham are still to act on the final day of the transfer window despite being linked with a string of players in recent days, including Blackburn duo Paul Robinson and Martin Olsson.
