Enner Valencia has been named in the IFFHS World Top Scorer chart for September 2014.
The Ecuador international, who joined West Ham in July following a successful World Cup in Brazil makes the top 20 in 17th spot having scored seven times for his country in the current calendar year.Topping the latest International Federation of Football History & Statistics, which is published on a monthly basis is Ghana's Asamoah Gyan, with a toal of 16 goals (four for his country and 12 at domestic level).
Close behind are Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo (second place with 14 goals) and Barcelona's Brazilian international Neymar (third with 11; nine international and two for his club).
The only other domestic-based players to make the list are Manchester United's Robin van Persie, who is in ninth spot with a total of nine goals (six for the Netherlands, three for his club) and Chelsea's Andre Schurrle (18th spot).
The IFFHS is a (non FIFA-alliliated) organisation that chronicles the history and records of football. Currently based in Bonn, Germany, the body have been providing statistics and analysis since 1984.
