Although the point was generally seen as a decent result, Manchester United fans were rather more scathing about their manager and his tactical approach to yesterday's game - despite LVG having lost just one of his last 17 games...
"We were very lucky to come out of that with a point. I thought it was a very poor display but West Ham's game plan had something to do with that. Fair play to De Gea for some great saves again. West Ham identified a weakness in our defending from crosses and we found it hard to defend those and paid the price. Luke Shaw probably deserved the red card but he was no worse than Song throughout the game so could find himself a little hard done by here. I hope LVG is learning quickly about how the Premier League works. It is so much harder to play his way away from to a team like West Ham. It is difficult to just turn up and pass a team like West Ham, who are no mugs, off the park. You have to battle, be defensively strong but be direct and forceful going forwards. He must reconsider his approach away from home."

"We were very lucky to get a draw, Shaw, Blind and Big Dave were our only good players on the pitch. Rooney is not a midfielder, Di Maria was bad and our supposedly world class strikers missed two golden opportunities. All in all, a point away at West Ham is not bad especially considering the performance."

"The manager has to take the blame for this performance, he can't see the obvious and it's really starting to make me question his skills in management. Terrible performance again from the team, absolutely shit and as dull as dishwater. I don't care that we got a point, I don't care about the last minute equaliser, all I care about is the quality of football we are getting served every week. The manager talks a fantastic game but the team serves up the same old shit every week, sort it fecking out FFS. I honestly thought we were turning a corner, I even saw glimpses of where we were going in terms of playing style but as usual,it was simply a mirage."

"Don't let the goal at the end fool you. This wasn't a smash and grab job for West Ham, they completely dominated us for 90 minutes. Absolutely awful display. We won't finish in the top four if we're going to play like this."

"I couldn't care less what "Big Sam" thinks of us - what a fecking state that man is. Watching him lie back in his seat yesterday, munching on that little piece of gum with his mouth wide open, chomping away, made me feel ill. West Ham were well organised and got their goal from a set piece that took a massive slice of deflective luck, and then went defensive. Our attempts to play actual football weren't working, on account of us having another dogshit day, so we changed tact. We went direct and caused West Ham problems and had more than enough chances in the last 10 minutes to win the game. It was the right thing to do against a well-drilled, defensive side that are hard to break down and actually have a very good home record."

"As soon as West Ham scored I expected us to lose. West Ham away was always going to be tough, but we were absolutely awful at times. Players played out of position and our strikers were slow and predictable. Drop one of them, preferably both and play Rooney up front. I'm not in the LVG out camp, but he's got to fecking wake up."

"No wonder West Ham win every second ball when Di Maria pussies out of just about any challenge. Fergie might have been able to win games without a midfield, but Van Gaal can not. Three good midfielders on the bench, and we have a two-man midfield of Blind and Rooney, and two centre forwards who don't make runs which trouble the defence, or show for the ball. We should have hammered them today. Depleted by injuries with a makeshift defence. We barely even got at them at 0-0. When we brought on Fellaini, we immediately highlighted their vulnerabilities, but it was too late."

"Never thought I'd see the day where we would eek out a draw against a Sam Allardyce side by using long balls to our tallest player. We have gone so far backwards since SAF has left. I'm not sure LVG is the right man to take us completely back to the top."

"We knew Big Fat Sam was going to play long-ball, and I can't remember seeing a game so long-ball-y since Kevin Nolan was playing for Bolton in like 2006. Every time a Hammer got the ball they would just lump in 70 yards upfield. Even LVG admitted post-match that he knew we'd be facing route one long-ball-o-rama, and yet we didn't do anything to exploit this. When Fellaini came on, we switched to playing like Bolton. It's ugly. MOTM Luke Shaw. Bullshit red card at the end, although for once Clattenburg didn't make a penalty gift. I think Song was lucky to not have grabbed a second yellow. Rojo also had a pretty solid game."

"Loved seeing Wayne on one of his tirades again, stropping around screaming at team-mates (granted, trying to raise their game) whilst he was having a piss poor, non-event of a match. Love it."
