Prepare from some appalling language from those angry folk down on the South Coast after they witnessed their side fail to score against West Ham's nine fit men. Enjoy the best of the Saints' reaction in this week's Opposition View...
"It was obvious from the start that West Ham were there only for the point from the instant that BFS claimed that they would emulate Swansea's tactics of parking the bus and hoping to hit us on the break. No doubt the donkey Carroll would be their weapon to create their opportunistic goal from a set-piece, but when Adrian was sent off, he was needed to defend from our corners and he cut a forlorn figure isolated up front most of the time. West Ham are a team coached in Fat Sam's image; niggly, moaning, cheating bastards. Despite the absence of their chief moaner Nolan, they still surrounded the referee b*tching about anything and everything. Talking of the referee, where do they get these incompetents from? Just when you think that the FA must be scraping the bottom of the barrel, they produce an even worse one."

"Only five minutes [added on]!? Three minutes for all the subs and then there was three minutes wasted after the red card, plus the physio on twice! Then he signals that he's adding time on for their timewasting but plays exactly the five minutes signalled.
Ref's a c*nt."

"Well, that was frustrating. I thought we had a good first 15 and a good last 15. Apart from that, though we had good possession we never really created a clear cut chance. West Ham's midfield was practically non-existent. Pelle badly needs a goal. His frustration is tangible. Referee was absolutely atrocious. Again. Fed up of saying it now. Allardyce was p*ssing himself laughing at some of the more blatant blunders. I just couldn't begin to explain some of the decisions. Stopping the game because Carroll had slipped his saddle? Awful. Rightly booed off at half time. Just to finish my moan for the evening, there were way too many West Ham fans in the Itchen/Chapel corner. A recipe for disaster. Your team came for a draw and were lucky to get it."

"West Ham United. Once renown as the 'Science of Football' team now reduced to 'hoof ball' tactics. Still they may well go down in the annals of football in these parts as being one of the very few, and possibly the only team able to despatch the ball out of the ground from a clearance. Congratulations!"

"At the end of the day you can look at it as one point gained or two points lost. We're one point behind Man United, still ahead of Arsenal and three points ahead of Spurs with a vastly superior goal difference. We have gotten used to winning matches easily and been sucked into a false sense of entitlement because of this. There will be battling wins, poor losses and frustrating draws, it's part of the game but we're still in the top four. It's almost guaranteed we'll get European football of some description and even if we end up in the Europa Cup, that is no mean feat for a team on it's third year back in the Premier League and we shouldn't view it as a failure."

"West Ham were dire. Big Sam can shove his sophistication up his fat arse. We were woeful in front of goal. Pelle missed two very good chances. Not even hitting the target. We sadly saw what will stop us getting Europe. We seriously lack firepower, now nearly all teams will come for a point/hit us on the break. The ref just lost the plot. A big huge prat."

"I thought Koeman got it wrong. Started with both Elia and Mane, but had no creativity behind them. Finished with lots of creativity, but no runners off the ball. West Ham managed the game and time wasted well. Ref was a c**t and there should have been a lot more time added on. S***e support from us, groaning from the first 20 minutes when a move didn't come off and streaming out with five minutes to go. Some sections undeserving of a top four effort."

"You have to wonder how someone who is supposedly highly trained can perform like that. Carlton Cole only getting a yellow for an elbow that caused Yoshida to have stitches was incredible. When he booked Mané in the first half he didn't even speak to him until he noticed Song rolling around on the floor. Then he booked Fonte for deliberate handball when he was making a block tackle a yard away from the player crossing it. Then he let Mané off a clear yellow because he knew he should've sent Cole off. Then didn't even give a free kick when Carroll elbowed Gardos."

"Really disappointed not to have won against a poor West Ham side, more a case of us not doing enough to win rather than West Ham doing enough for a point. Also thought Mane shouldn't have been taken off. With Mane and Ellia off you're committed to playing off Pelle, which wasn't working. It meant Tadic and Djuricic played narrow, we continued to try and play off Pelle which played into West Hams hands. It's allot easier for defenders to defend when their backs are to goal. Still fourth though! FOURTH!!"

"I hate Andy Carroll with the best of them, but didn't realise quite how good he is with his head at defending set pieces. Great balls put in by JWP right under the 'keeper with pace but the power and distance on his clearances meant we couldn't take advantage."

"People whinging about West Ham wasting time from the start is a bit rich. We had plenty of the ball and needed to do more than just try to walk it into the net. Definitely should have been taking more shots from range once they changed the 'keeper. Fact is we weren't great today, and didn't deserve more than what we walked away with. I reckon their fans would be extra ****ed as well now though. Not so much with this result, but as many of them thought they should have focused more on their Cup game against West Brom on the weekend. Now they won't have Adrian or Carroll."
