Morgan Amalfitano is about to receive a hefty fine for his dismissal in this afternoon's FA Cup defeat at former club West Bromwich Albion.
The French winger, a second half substitute had been on the pitch for just ten minutes when he was issued a yellow card for a late tackle on Chris Brunt, then a straight red for reacting to Brunt's reaction by pushing the former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder in the face."It's unprofessional, isn't it," Allardyce admitted after the match. "The punishment is laid out in our code of conduct for getting sent off for something like that. It'll be dealt with internally as with everybody else and we move on.
"But I don't think it made any difference to the result, I don't think we'd have got back in the game the way we were today. He had come on and given us a little bit more on the ball, but we just simply didn't cope today."
