West Ham's Welsh defender James Collins is expected to be rewarded for his recent good form by being awarded a new, extended contract.

The 31-year-old Welsh international - now three years into his second spell at the Boleyn - is currently tied to the Hammers until the end of the 2015/16 season, by which time he will be almost 33.

Despite his advancing years, the club are keen to tie Collins down for the rest of his career at the top by offering him an extension that will ensure he is still at West Ham when the club move to Stratford, 18 months from now.

Staying with financial matters, Mark Noble is still discussing terms regarding a contract that would tie him to West Ham - his only professional club - until his thirties.

The midfielder is understood to be seeking a new five years on top of the his current arrangement - a three-year deal with an option for two more, signed in 2012.
