Cheik Kouyate has been taken to hospital for tests after suffering an arm injury during training at Chadwell Heath this morning.

The Senegal international fell awkwardly during a session at Chadwell Heath this morning and it is suspected that he may have broken either his arm or wrist.

Kouyate, who had played West Ham's last two matches as an emergency centre half could now be out of action for several weeks.

He joins fellow midfielder Morgan Amalfitano - who yesterday received a three-match suspension for his dismissal at West Brom on Saturday - on the sidelines.

Fortunately for Sam Allardyce, both Winston Reid and James Collins, who we revealed earlier this morning is poised to land a new contract, are expected to return in time for the short trip to Tottenham on Sunday.
