Carlton Cole has confirmed that he will be leaving West Ham after the club failed to offer him a new contract.

The 31-year-old striker had previously left the club in the summer of 2013, but was handed a new 18-month contract in October of that year having proved his fitness.

Cole, who has been with the club since 2006 when he was signed from Chelsea in a £2million deal was close to joining West Bromwich Albion back in January but saw a deadline day move fail as he was forced to return to West Ham.

On behalf of everyone at Knees up Mother Brown, we'd like to thank Carlton for his service and wish him the very best of luck for the future.
