Valencia to undergo scan on knee injury

Filed: Friday, 31st July 2015
By: Staff Writer

Enner Valencia will have a scan to determine the extent of the damage to his knee on Friday morning.

The Ecuador international went down clutching his leg ten minutes before half time in last night's 2-2 draw against Astra Giurgiu. He was eventually stretched off the field and replaced by Modibo Miaga.

Speaking about the injury following last night's draw, Hammers boss Slaven Bilic confirmed that Valencia would be sent to see club doctors on Friday.

"It's a knee injury and I think he twisted it," he told the media. "We're going to wait until tomorrow morning and do a scan - then we wait and hope for the best. Until he takes the scan it's all speculation."
