Darren Randolph's position as reserve goalkeeper at West Ham could be under threat - less than three months after he joined the club.

The former Birmingham City stopper made a series of errors during the recent Europa League run which led many supporters to express their concerns in the event that regular number one Adrian becomes unavailable at some stage.

And his position as the Spaniard's deputy has been cast into further doubt tonight with the revelation that West Ham are investigating the possibility of bringing former number one Robert Green back to the club (Mail Online).

The 35-year-old spent six years at West Ham before leaving the club three years ago this summer following a pay dispute. He is entering the final year of a four-year deal with current club Queens Park Rangers.

"I would like to convey my thanks, especially to the fans, for the six years I spent at West Ham," he said upon leaving West Ham back in 2012. "The relationship I had with the West Ham fans was special and will be remembered with great fondness not only by myself but also by my family."
