West Ham's policy of taking promising youngsters from rival clubs shows no sign of abating after Chelsea's Academy was plundered for United's latest recruit.

16-year-old winger Daniel Kemp is the latest youngster to arrive at Chadwell Heath via another Elite Academy, with the current Premier League champions the source on this occasion.

"I've been at Chelsea for ten years," Kemp told whufc.com. "I felt that I'd developed a lot there but coming here is a better opportunity for me as I see a good pathway here.

"It sounds like theyíve been watching me for a couple of years. It was about trying to find the right time to move, now Iím here Iím so pleased and really looking forward to my future."

Kemp has signed an initial one-year scholarship with West Ham, with a three-year pro deal to follow next July.

The left-footer - who cites Eden Hazard and Lionel Messi as his idols - follows the likes of striker Jordan Brown (Arsenal), attacking midfielder Martin Samuelsen (Man City) and central midfielder George Dobson (Arsenal) to West Ham from fellow Elite Academies.

And he will be hoping to emulate fellow former Chelsea youngster Frank Nouble, who moved from Stamford Bridge to the Boleyn Ground in 2009 before making his first team debut in the Premier League later that year.
