The opposition view: Leicester City

West Ham and Leicester supporters may never agree over the game's main talking points - but few were in disagreement over the performance of referee Jon Moss...

"Sky are just following on from their blatantly biased commentators yesterday. They were gagging all match for an upset, for the fairytale to be slain, for West Ham to drive a huge hole through our hopes. Even the BBC commentators on MOTD2 showed clear bias and the punching above their weight opening was illuminating to say the least. Anyone who thinks there isn't at least a snobbish conspiracy against us needs to wise up. Whether it is more than that I don't know, but Moss was so blatantly poor yesterday it was almost beyond belief. Certainly everyone knows Vardy is the fulcrum around which our team turns. So Vardy it is who gets sent off, how strange when others were equally deserving. I doubt this will be the end of it. There will be more to come. I just hope that as with Jamie's record, our winning the title is written in the stars."

"I still can't get over this. Vardy knocks it past the defender. The defender holds on to his shoulder. Vardy moves in front of the defender, still while having his shoulder pulled, and the legs tangle. Whether Vardy intended to trip himself or not, he was being fouled by the defender who was holding his shoulder. Had the defender not held on to him, he'd have been able to run on to the ball and have a shot. I don't get how people can't see this, and how they think he dived. He didn't, the legs clashed. Why? Because the defender was slowing him down."

"The referee basically fucked us for the whole second half - Reid and Payet quite clearly should have been sent off before you even start to look at the decisions that were actually made and the headline on the BBC website is... a West Ham player complaining about the referee. I know they've had a tough run of it lately with officials but literally everything debatable bar the last minute pen went their way, along with a number of not particularly debatable calls. All inconsistencies (bookings for City players for diving, not for West Ham players, grappling punished on us, not on them) went their way."

"I thought we were second-best for large parts. We only had two shots on target and arguably West Ham had the better chances. The sending off changed the entire complexity of the game as I thought we had just turned a corner and were starting to get on top, only to lose all momentum suddenly. Fuchs was put under pressure by Kanté's poor headed 'clearance', but obviously Antonio should not have been allowed to go past Ulloa and Fuchs in one go. Take nothing away from that Cresswell strike though, superb hit. I'm sure some haters will blame Kasper for it too... Speaking of Kasper, what a stunning save from Kouyaté! Obviously a taller 'keeper could maybe have dealt with that header and Cresswell's shot better, but I thought he was one of our best performers yesterday."

"The ref had an absolute shocker. Vardy is clearly looking for the foul, but I wouldn't call it a dive. He was trying to be clever and rightfully got booked. The first booking was a joke. I thought Alan Shearer was spot on last night. Why have refs waited until the 34th game to start giving penalties for grappling? Anywhere else on the pitch it is a foul so I haven't really got any complaint for them getting the penalty, but how can you give Morgan and Huth warnings for grappling before giving a penalty? If it's a foul it's a foul. Both sides could have probably had four pens each. What a strike from Cresswell. Beautiful shot. But the ref clearly bottled it giving us the penalty for Schluup. Soft as anything. Delighted to have got a point in the end. We still increased the gap. Over to Spurs now. Let's hope Stoke will respond to their loss to Liverpool."

"After watching Sky Sports News just now and seeing them all slating our players it just gets me so angry because everybody is anti-Leicester when West Ham got away with so much yesterday such as 1). Ogbonna not getting booked for effectively strangling two players and pole axing Okazaki in the corner 2). Reid went down in the opposite direction to what the law of physics says he should plus he should've walked for the body check when Ulloa tried to break free on the touch line 3). And I can't see why everybody thinks our penalty is so soft, probably through blue tinted specs but Carroll just went through him without the ball?"

"A longer suspension for Vardy? I'm not a fan of a player screaming "fucking cunt" in a ref's face. Players know the rules, it was stupid at this stage of the season."

"We were essentially without Jamie Vardy over Christmas when he was clearly unfit and we had a serious wobble. Without him in the team I'd fear a repeat. The best we can hope for at Swansea is a draw, we've been getting through games despite playing badly mainly because of JV. I honestly feel that every game he's out for will reduce our chances of winning a match to 25%. If he gets that extra ban I think it's all over. Spurs will most likely win all their remaining matches; I cannot see anything other than a win for them tonight."

"Key incidents.... Huth clothes-lines Reid in first half at 0-0 - most nailed on penalty the whole game, and prevented Reid from being in position to stop Vardy scoring. Vardy yellows - For his first, Kouyate falls over him, his second is a stupid dive when already on a yellow. Reid penalty - as much a dive as Vardy. Ogbonna on Huth - blatant penalty. Schlupp penalty - buys it, he isn't fouled, 1/10 given, so not a pen. Moss was incompetent, and i'll never forgive him for the most bizarre red card ive seen (Kasper at Forest for kicking the ball to the halfway line), but West Ham should feel more upset than us."

"Robert Huth worries me sometimes. He's a fine defender but his elbows and forearms are all over the place. English refs can be lenient but in the CL next season European refs will not hesitate to give fouls and penalties against him. Numerous times this season he's gotten away with it, Villa and Liverpool spring to mind. He got away with another one today on Reid."

"Happy with a point in what I think was always going to be our hardest remaining game. West Ham are an excellent side with real quality and have a lot to fight for. The referee's performance was pretty poor though. Vardy probably deserved a yellow for his over-emphasis, however Payet should equally have been sent off 10 minutes later when we were awarded a free kick for his simulation. Winston Reid, who was on a yellow, made several cynical challenges and can't have been far off seeing red. The penalty was soft, but we have got away with a lot in the box recently so maybe it was karma balancing. Huth's was a penalty if Reid's was and although the MOTD pundit Ian Wright believed it was Ogbonna's first offence, he had actually been manhandling Huth a lot in the first half. Overall a good point. I am confident without Vardy we can still score goals."

"Jon Moss still signs Adam Johnson on Football Manager."
