Tore deal hits a snag

West Ham United's pursuit of Besiktas winger Gokham Tore has hit the rocks over payment terms.

The Hammers had been hot favourites to land the Turkish international but according to Besiktas President Fikret Orman, the deal hit a snag after West Ham asked to take the player on loan instead.

Besiktas had been holding out for circa £15million for the 24-year-old, who worked alongside Slaven Bilic prior to the Croat joining West Ham last summer.

However West Ham - who have since captured fellow winger Sofiane Feghouli on a free transfer - now want Tore on loan with an option to buy, following the completion of a season-loan agreement.

* United have also failed in their attempts to sign Tore's Besiktas team mate Atiba Hutchison. "Bilic suggested €3million for Atiba," Orman told Turkish media yesterday. "We rejected this proposal and thanked him."
