Good luck, Dimi!

Slaven Bilic has issued a message of goodwill to West Ham United's sole representative in tonight's Euro 16 final between France and Portugal.

Bilic, who is currently in Carolina with the rest of the touring squad preparing for Wednesday morning's pre-season clash with the RailHawks revealed that the whole team would be rooting for the 29-year-old midfielder.

"I want to wish Dimitri the very best of luck," he told the club's website. "Dimi has been one of the best players at the tournament and now he and his compatriots have the final against Portugal to look forward to.

"We will watch the game on TV from North Carolina; naturally we are all right behind Dimi and hope he is celebrating at the final whistle!"

Payet, who remains the tournament's second-highest goalscorer behind team mate Antoine Griezmann has played a key role in France's journey to the final, which kicks off at 8pm tonight.

And someone he appears to have impressed is TalkSport radio host Stan Collymore, who insisted last night that Manchester United should forget their pursuit of Juve's Paul Pogba in order to sign Payet.

"What Manchester United need is to be good in the here and now of this season," he told listeners. "While I have no doubt Pogba could become one of the best midfielders on the planet in time, I dont think hed guarantee the immediate success in the way Payet and [Leicester's] Kante two would."
