Argentine striker Jonathan Calleri is on the verge of completing a move to West Ham, says Brazilian media this morning.

The 22-year-old striker has been on loan with Sao Paolo since January but is set to move to London after accepting an offer from West Ham to move to the Premier League, according to UOL Esporte.

Calleri, who has also been strongly linked with La Liga outfit Seville - whom he was said to initially express an interest in joining - and Serie A's Inter is said to have rejected offers from those and other clubs interest in acquiring his services in order to join the Hammers.

Currently registered to Deportivo Maldonado, who purchased the player's rights earlier this year, Calleri - who, like former Hammer Carlos Tevez also featured for Boca Juniors - is scheduled to represent his country next month at the Rio Olympics.

* In other transfer news this morning, West Ham are said to be vying with Leicester for the signature of Toulouse forward Wissam Ben Yedder.

The 25-year-old former French under 21 international has spent the last six years with TFC for whom he has scored 62 goals in 150 appearances and was previously linked with Seville, although a June move fell through. Lyon and Roma, amongst others, have also been linked.
